In order to further refine the direction of scientific research and better promote the development of young teachers, on the afternoon of August 23, the Department of Information and Communication Engineering of the School of Computer and Information Sciences held a development and exchange seminar for young teachers in A1106. The meeting invited Dean Hong Richang to guide the development and planning of young teachers. The attendees of this meeting included Secretary Nian Yongqi of the college, Dean Hong Richang, Professor Qi Meibin, the head of the Department of Information and Communication, Deputy Director Sun Rui and Teacher Li Jie, as well as more than 10 young teachers including Zhang Xiaohui, Sun Yanshi, Nie Liying, Xiang Houhong, Zhuang Shuo, Zhu Liangliang, Huang Wei, Zhou Momei, and Lei Yi.

Professor Qi Meibin first introduced the faculty situation of the Department of Information and Communication, focusing on the composition of young teachers under 40 years old; then, he summarized the main research directions of the current Department of Information and Communication. Finally, Professor Qi Meibin hopes that young teachers will set lofty goals, aim at the strategic needs of the country to carry out research work, and call for reducing the teaching burden of young teachers.

Dean Hong Richang shared his own experience and gave valuable advice on the development of young teachers based on the theme of "how to do a good job in scientific research" combined with his own scientific research experience. He encouraged young teachers to aim at the urgent needs of the country and society, clarify short-term, medium-term and long-term scientific research goals, and do a good job in phased optimization and overall optimization. In addition, Dean Hong emphasized the importance of overall design and goal planning, and pointed out that young teachers should not only have certain academic abilities, but also have their own circle, gradually establishing their influence and reputation in the academic world.

In the young teacher exchange session, Sun Yanshi, Nie Liying, Xiang Houhong, Zhuang Shuo, Zhu Liangliang, Huang Wei, Zhou Momei, Lei Yi and other young teachers introduced their research directions and future scientific research plans one by one. Dean Hong Richang listened carefully to the reports of the young teachers and gave targeted suggestions one by one.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary Nian Yongqi summarized the exchange seminar. Secretary Nian affirmed the role of the exchange seminar in providing exchange and learning for young teachers in the college. He advocated that young teachers should "go out", participate more actively in various academic conferences, broaden their horizons, strengthen cooperation and exchange with other units, and make greater contributions to the development of the college and the school.
