In order to complete the undergraduate enrollment publicity work of high quality in 2023 and continuously improve the quality of students, our college, under the deployment of the school's admissions office, the dean and secretary organized a special discussion and gave guidance on enrollment publicity. The Vice Dean of Teaching, Xia Na, served as the leader of the enrollment publicity work group, further improved the working mode, and organized the implementation of the "High Quality Enrollment Publicity" work in 2023.

【First Stage】: High School Lectures

From March 29th to 31st, the "2023 Enrollment Lecture Group" composed of Vice Dean of Teaching Xia Na, Deputy Director of Computer Science Department Li Peipei, Deputy Director of Information and Communication Department Ai Jiaqiu, and Professor Guo Dan of the Intelligent Science Department, went to Qingdao, Jinan, and Yantai in Shandong Province and held 7 enrollment lectures (respectively in Qingdao No.17 Middle School, Qingdao No.58 Middle School, Shandong Experimental Middle School in Jinan, Licheng No.2 Middle School in Jinan, Affiliated Middle School of Shandong Normal University in Jinan, Yantai No.1 Middle School, and Fushan No.1 Middle School in Yantai). Among them, 5 were science popularization lectures combined with enrollment publicity for high school students; 2 were interpretations of school enrollment policies for parents of senior high school students. The atmosphere at the lecture was enthusiastic and the results were significant.

The lecture activities allowed a large number of key high school students to appreciate the academic style and outstanding achievements of university professors, planted the seed of aspiring to Hefei University of Technology in their hearts, and allowed the majority of candidates' parents to have a comprehensive understanding of our school and obtain important information and guidance for applying to our school. This move can give our school a head start in the competition for high-quality student sources.

【Second Stage】: Online Live Broadcast Lecture

From April 23rd to 29th, the heads of national first-class majors, Qi Meibin, Li Peipei, Sun Rui and others successively held 5 online live broadcast lectures, cheered for our school's enrollment, answered questions, provided important guidance for eligible candidates, and made every effort to attract excellent student sources nationwide. During this period, more than 20,000 candidates and parents nationwide participated in the special event, and the online interaction was enthusiastic.

【Third Stage】: College Entrance Examination Consultation

● Concentrated training to ensure professional competence

On June 14th, the college held a "College Entrance Examination Consultation Experience Sharing Meeting". Teacher Lu Qiang, who has rich experience in enrollment, shared his experience with the teachers who participated in the college entrance examination consultation this year and sorted out some of the most frequently asked questions by candidates and parents. At the same time, Teacher Luo Xun distributed the latest enrollment publicity materials of our school in 2023 to everyone and gave a detailed interpretation.

On June 21, the college held a "High Enrollment Consultation Business Inspection Meeting". First, a teacher was selected to interpret the school's enrollment policy; then, common questions were cross-examined, allowing everyone to simulate the scene of the high enrollment consultation meeting, answering various questions. Through thorough exchange and discussion, everyone's high enrollment consultation business capabilities were enhanced, laying an important foundation for high-quality enrollment publicity work.

From June 25 to June 29, the "2023 High Enrollment Work Group", consisting of 26 people including Dean Wang Meng, Party Secretary Nian Yongqi, heads of various departments, and representatives of teachers with rich enrollment experience, went to 14 cities in Shandong Province, including Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weifang, Pingdu, Longkou, Linqu, Jining, Qufu, Taian, Rizhao, Linyi, Zibo, and Zaozhuang, to participate in 22 college entrance examination enrollment consultation meetings; they went to five places in Anqing, Anhui Province, including Tongcheng, Yuexi, Taihu, Dongzhi, and Susong, to participate in eight college entrance examination enrollment consultation meetings; they also went to Shanghai to participate in one college entrance examination enrollment consultation meeting.

In the fourth stage: Work Summary

On July 5, as the undergraduate enrollment work in 2023 came to an end, the college organized a "Enrollment Publicity Work Summary Meeting". Everyone actively spoke and summarized valuable experience from multiple aspects such as the selection of the organizer of the high enrollment consultation meeting, the selection of the venue, the selection of the time point, and the optimization of the route. At the same time, they summarized the new focus of candidates and parents, and shared how to impress excellent candidates.

The college attaches great importance to enrollment publicity work, actively plans, and formulated the "Computer and Information College Enrollment Publicity System" document (College Government Letter [2021] No. 7) at the beginning of 2021, institutionalizing the distinctive enrollment publicity work. After three years of passionate enrollment publicity work, our school has attracted a large number of excellent students, and the admission score of our school in Shandong Province has also increased year by year. The college will continue to improve the way of enrollment publicity work, constantly open up new situations, and help the development of our school's "Double First-Class" construction and high-level talent training.
