On the afternoon of April 20th, the School of Computer and Information Science held a seminar on studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and a commendation meeting for outstanding graduate students in the Second Lecture Hall of the Emerald Science and Education Building. Relevant leaders of the school, members of the preaching team of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Ding Hongpei, and all graduate students from the 2021 and 2022 classes attended the meeting.

The conference began with the solemn national anthem. All participants stood in reverence, blending the youthful passion of studying the 20th National Congress into the powerful rhythm of the national anthem.

Zheng Rongmei, an official at the department level, read out the commendation decision for advanced individuals in the School of Computer and Information Science for the 2021-2022 academic year. Wang Jiamin, a recipient of the National Scholarship, an outstanding graduate of Anhui Province, and a master's student in Computer Science and Technology in the class of 2020, spoke as a student representative. She called on her classmates to use their ideals to illuminate the path ahead, to write their youth with hard work, to hone their skills through hardship, and to demonstrate their original mission and responsibility. She encouraged them to be young people of the new era who have a vision, a path, a strategy, and a sense of responsibility.

The leaders and teachers present at the meeting presented certificates to outstanding students, outstanding student cadres, and three good students, and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

After the award ceremony, Hong Richang, the executive vice dean of the college, gave a concluding speech, expressing warm congratulations to all the award-winning students, and expressing earnest hopes to all the graduate students in the college: First, they should have lofty ideals and firm beliefs, and establish a lofty ambition of "serving the country through industry". Second, they should work hard and forge ahead, adhering to the spirit of the college motto of "college, honor, and responsibility". Third, they should be willing to endure hardships and work hard, cultivating a practical and hardworking attitude of "not needing a whip to motivate oneself".

At the end of the meeting, Ding Hongpei, a member of the school's preaching team for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, gave a speech titled "Cultivating Morality and Walking the Right Path in Life." He shared how to integrate the values of scientific socialism with personal, family, and social aspects, and encouraged students to combine the basic principles of Marxism with excellent traditional Chinese culture. He urged them to inherit and promote excellent Chinese traditional culture in their future life paths and contribute to the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized strong country.

The meeting was chaired by Huang Pengfei, a graduate counselor.
