In accordance with the "Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Counselor and Class Teacher (Class Tutor) Teams in Higher Education Institutions" by the Ministry of Education, the "Implementation Measures for the Work of University Student Class Teachers (Class Tutors)" by Hefei University of Technology, and other documents, and the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Class Teachers (Class Tutors) in the School of Computer and Information Science", to strengthen the construction of ideological and political education teams, further promote the full-staff education work of the college, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers in teaching and educating people, promote the comprehensive growth and talent of college students, the college has decided to select 10 teachers from the whole college to serve as class teachers for the 2023 undergraduate students.

I. Application Conditions

1. Firm political stance, high sense of responsibility and dedication, role model for people, dedicated to teaching and educating people;

2. Physically and mentally healthy, enthusiastic about student work, fully concerned about the growth and talent of students;

3. Familiar with the professional training objectives, training programs, and teaching links of the students being guided, familiar with teaching management, student management and other related rules and regulations;

4. Full-time teachers with the title of lecturer or above, party members are preferred under the same conditions.

II. Work Requirements

Class teachers should play a positive role in guiding students' thinking, supervising their learning, counseling their lives, guiding their employment, and counseling their psychology. Specific requirements can be referred to the Notice on Printing and Distributing the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Class Teachers (Class Tutors) in the School of Computer and Information Science" (Annex 1).

1. Class construction work. Guide the class to formulate the work plan and learning goals for each semester, and do a good job in the work summary for each semester. Meet with students at the beginning of each semester, organize and carry out class meetings and other class practical activities. On average, guide students not less than once a month, and provide guidance on the thoughts, learning, psychology, employment, etc. of the students in the class.

2. Daily education management work. Actively go into the students' classrooms and dormitories, get to know the students' situation in depth, and grasp the students' ideological dynamics. Do a good job in students' ideological education work, guide students to establish correct world outlook, life outlook, and values.

3. Professional learning guidance work. Do a good job in guiding students in course selection, professional development direction, career planning, etc., help students to scientifically formulate academic study plans; guide students to actively participate in scientific and technological innovation activities, cultivate students' innovative consciousness and practical ability.

4. Strengthen communication with counselors and teachers. Class teachers should maintain contact and communication with counselors and teachers, exchange opinions, and form a joint force in work.

III. Selection Method

1. Class teachers are recommended by each department according to the number of undergraduate classes and the teacher resources, and the college decides. Each class is equipped with 1 class teacher. Teachers who have already served as class teachers for the 2020-2022 class, in principle, will not be appointed as class teachers for the 2023 class.

2. Encourage class teachers to take a full term (from the first time they take over to the students' graduation) to ensure the continuity of work. Those who need to change due to special reasons in the middle should submit a written application to their college in advance.

3. According to the requirements of the school, teachers who meet the conditions are obliged to undertake the work of undergraduate class teachers. Full-time teachers must have more than one year of experience in student education management work such as class teacher when they are promoted to a higher level, and the assessment must be qualified.

4. The college will regularly assess the work of class teachers, and for those who fail the assessment, the college will terminate their class teacher work and promptly equip new class teachers.
