Since the mobilization and deployment meeting for the theme education of studying and implementing Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics was held in the college, the college has resolutely implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, implemented the deployment of the school party committee, studied and comprehended Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, done practical work, sought new development, and promoted the theme education to go deeper and more practical. On the afternoon of June 3, 2023, the college held a written research activity on deepening organized scientific research and improving the level of serving national and local development based on Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The activity was presided over by Hong Richang, executive vice president of the college. Nian Yongqi, secretary of the college party committee, Xia Na, vice president of the college, Xue Feng, vice dean of the School of Software, Chu Wenjing, deputy secretary of the party committee of the School of Software, Wu Gongqing, director of the Department of Computer Science, Qi Meibin, director of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, and Professor Zhang Shao from the Department of Intelligence participated in the activity.

President Hong Richang first introduced the purpose and significance of this activity. He mentioned that organized scientific research in universities is an important form for universities to achieve institutionalization and systematic service of national and regional strategic needs in scientific and technological innovation. Strengthening organized scientific research is a strong support for achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and building an innovative highland. Then, starting from the year secretary, the leaders discussed the existing problems of organized scientific research in the school, how the school should carry out organized scientific research, how to carry out scientific research collaboration across schools, disciplines and specialties, and the degree of guarantee of the school's talent evaluation system for organized scientific research. From multiple perspectives such as organizational structure, personnel arrangement, system establishment, and service optimization, in-depth discussions were conducted on the development of organized scientific research, and valuable opinions and suggestions were put forward for the development of organized scientific research in the school.

Through this activity, the college has gained a clearer understanding and plan for the development of organized scientific research.
